Extensive development of the Kolyvansky open cast mine started in 2005 due to an increasing demand for high-quality anthracite. To increase production, the Northern mining pit was put into operation. The development of the nearby Krutikhinsky mining pit started in 2007. In accordance with the JORC Code as of January 1, 2021, the reserves of the cast mine are 126 million tons of anthracite.
Open-Pit Mine Vostochny develops the Vostochny mining pit. Its operation started in 2016. Open-Pit Mine Vostochny is the youngest company of Sibanthracite Group and the fastest- growing one due to mining output. In accordance with the JORC Code by January 1, 2021, its reserves make 144.9 million tons.
