About 100 contestants took part in the final stage of the competition. The 'Best in Profession' was determined in 16 categories among employees who work at processing plants, railway stations, and chemical analysis laboratories, as well as drivers and mining equipment operators. These are employees of several of the Group's companies: Sibanthracite Mining, Kolyvansky Mine, Vostochny Mine, the Listvyansky Enrichment Complex, and Sibanthracite Logistics. Each participant earned a place in the finals by passing the competition's qualifying stage.

The participants demonstrated the highest level of professional skill, performing serious production tasks, including determining raw materials' granulometric composition, installing a circuit for starting an asynchronous electric motor, putting in and taking out a rail splice, and determining coal's quality indicators. Unusual tests were prepared for the contestants who operate mining equipment, which required virtuoso technical skills. For example, the drivers of a grader had to drive a ball into a goal, while bulldozer drivers had to drive in nails with a ripper, and excavator drivers had to use their bucket to rearrange barrels and burst balloons.

This is the third time the company has held its 'Best in Profession' competition. According to Sabina Zhestkova, Director of Personnel at Sibanthracite Management Company, the list of professions expands annually. This year, technicians from the company's chemical analysis laboratory took part in the competition for the first time:

"We try to increase the scale of the competition and involve more and more employees in it every year, but one thing remains unchanged – our employees' professionalism, which they successfully demonstrate here. By holding competitions like this, the company shows how important each employee is to us, and how much we pay attention not only to daily duties, but also to the professional development of our employees and to maintaining internal communications and team building."

The winners of the 'Best in Profession – 2024' competition were awarded at a big family celebration for workers and local residents, which was organized at a recreational park in the settlement of Linevo by Sibanthracite. The champions and prize-winners received cash certificates and gifts from the company.
