The company received the high honor in the “Leader of Corporate Philantropy” category for «Region of Opportunities» grant competition. This is the first grant competition in the Novosibirsk region held by a private company
The awards ceremony took place on December, 22 in Novosibirsk. More than 2 million rubles were allocated by Sibanthracite to 10 legal entities and 8 individuals in Iskitim district (Novosibirsk region). The contest provided support to projects concerning sport, environmental protection, culture, science, education and volunteerism. Applications could be submitted by non-profit organizations, state and municipal institutions, and citizens groups promoting socially significant initiatives. In 2021, the contest was held for the first time, but it will be held regularly.
«This is the first grant competition in the Novosibirsk region held by a private company. With our support citizens and non-profit organizations implemented more than 18 socially significant projects. This victory testifies that our initiatives resonate with local residents and are highly appreciated by the professional community”, says Siberian Anthracite’s Deputy General Director Aleksey Khomlyansky.
The “for the Greater Good” prize is awarded for contribution to the development of charity and volunteerism in Novosibirsk region. It is organized by Novosibirsk region’s Public Chamber. Projects were considered in different categories: “Philantropist of the Year, “Leader of Corporate Philantropy”, “For Consistent Charity”, “Social Media”, “The Best Charity Project”. Last year the company received the high honor for consistently undertaking charitable projects in the Novosibirsk Region.
The achievements of the Sibanthracite Group in the social sphere were awarded in other contests in 2021. Elena Leshchinskaya, head of the Sibanthracite management company’s CSR and Communications Department, was a laureate of “Media Manager of Russia” award in the ‘Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility’ category. The Group was among the winners of the "Objective Charity" contest and among the finalists of the international award #Weareogether.
