On September 15, 2006 a new investment project of JSC “Siberian Anthracite” development was launched in Novosibirsk region. A solemn ceremony devoted to new washing factory “Listvyanskaya-2” took place there.

On September 15, 2006 in Novosibirsk region the investment development project of JSC “Siberian Anthracite” started – a festive ceremony devoted to the laying of the new washing plant “Listvianskaya – 2” .

The action took place with the presence of Novosibirsk region Governor Tolokonskiy V.A., chairman of the region deputies council of Novosibirsk region Bespalikov A.A., JSC “Novosibirskenergo” general director K.K. Gibert, principal deputy of the West-Siberian railroad director (JSC Russian Railways affiliate) A.A. Borodach and also designer representatives (“Sibgiproshacht” and “Gyprocoal” Institutes), construction general contractor (“Centroenrgomontazh”) and general supplier of the technical equipment (CETCO).

The construction of “Listvyanskaya- 2” is the first phase of the project on constructing a high capacity world-class washing complex in the territory of Novosibirsk region. The first phase of the investment project of “Siberian Anthracite” development also assumes exploration of Krutihinsky mines of Kolyvansky Field and the development of the regional infrastructure. The new factory capacity makes 1.5 million tons.

In the previous year the company extracted and shipped to the customers more than 1 million tons of anthracite. For the period from January to August 2006 the produced by the company anthracite volume exceeded 1.5 million tons, by the end of the year 2006 more than 1.5 million tons of anthracite will have been shipped to the customers. The Company has licenses of exploring Gorlovsky, Urgunsky and Kolyvansky fields of Gorlovsky coal basin. Currently the company’s proven reserves amount to more than 200 million tons of anthracite.
